When the receptionist answers:
"Hello — my name is [YOUR FULL NAME] and I’m a constituent from [CITY], ZIP [ZIP]. I’d like to speak with [LAWMAKER]’s legislative aide regarding a consumer protection issue. Could you transfer me or take a formal constituent note?"
When connected to the aide:
"Thank you. I’m [FULL NAME], registered voter from [CITY], ZIP [ZIP]. I’m calling to ask [LAWMAKER] to support the Kratom Consumer Protection Act. I use natural kratom powder responsibly as an adult.
